Updates Regarding USCIS Dallas Field Office

The Dallas, Texas local chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) issued notes from its most recent liaison meeting the the USCIS Dallas Field Office. Updates include:

Attorney Drop Box for Filings

A new system has been implemented for attorneys to file application, petitions, and waivers in a drop box at the Dallas Field Office.  It is currently taking approximately two weeks for the issuance of receipts.

Hand Delivery of I-72 and N-14 Responses

In November 2009, the Dallas Field Office will be implementing a system allowing selected I-72 and N-14 responses to be hand delivered to ISO officers.  The cases will then be immediately adjudicated.  The system will be implemented only in certain cases.

The Chander Law Firm has witnessed the implementation of this program and can confirm that certain cases are adjudicated immediately upon submission of the requested evidence.

Request to Attorneys in Terminated Cases

The Dallas Field Office requests attorneys make sure that a complete copy of the application/petition/waiver is in the alien file when a case is terminated by the Immigration Court and sent to USCIS for adjudication.

Reminder that the Dallas Field Office has Changed Location

The Dallas Field Office also reminds attorneys to direct all mail to the new office address in Irving, Texas and not the old office addresses located in Dallas, Texas.
