The Chander Law Firm Presents "Hiring Foreign Professional Workers" to RHCA

DALLAS, TEXAS - On June 9, 2010, Vishal Chander, Managing Attorney of The Chander Law Firm, presented the third of a four-part lecture series on Immigration Law to the Dallas Regional Hispanic Contractors Association (RHCA).  The presentation was entitled "Hiring Foreign Professional Workers."

During this session, Mr. Chander focused on employment based immigration options for professionals.  He first discussed visas for individuals in occupations requiring a bachelors degree, such as business, information technology, and engineering.  The visa categories discussed included the H-1B, L-1, E-3, and TN.  He then discussed employment based green cards.  Mr. Chander finally discussed recruitment of foreign nationals for professional occupations directly out of college.  He reviewed OPT, CPT, and STEM extension.  He also outlined timelines for recruiting college students.

Mr. Chander will continue providing lectures to the RHCA over the next several months.  The topics and schedule for the series are:
